Lake

The weather here seems to be behaving itself, so I thought we’d better enjoy the last few sunny and warm weekends we’ll be getting around here for awhile. The boyfriend and I are are going to spend a couple of nights relaxing in my family’s cabin, swimming and maybe even doing some fishing (really hoping I don’t have to clean any trout this time). Oh, and a few good nature walks - I enjoy them immensely, even if they’re a reminder of how much work I have to do in the gym.

There’s no better way to relax and not think about the stresses of finances than getting out into mother nature - breathing her fresh air, and enjoying her sites.

While away, I’ll be missing a couple of paid jobs, but that’s okay. Frugality gives me the power to save in some areas in order to be able to do the things that really matter. I hope you can all take some time out to do whatever it is that brings you real joy and happiness.

Political Bumper Stickers!

September 5th, 2008 | Posted in reviews

If you’re a supporter of Senator Barack Obama, you’ll want to check out these bumper stickers. They’re actually designed to be placed on your vehicle’s back window, and are printed on a transparent material, which allows for the text and graphics to be clearly seen from the outside, and remain invisible from the inside. So you can support your candidate with Gigantic “See-Thru” Obama Stickers while remaining safe on the roads.

#6 Frugal tip of the day

dryer

Here’s one that I do all the time, that you may not have heard or thought of. Cut your dryer sheets in half, or even in quarters - you’ll get twice the value for your dollar, and won’t notice a difference in your laundry. Once I got used to doing this, it seemed like such a no-brainer that I should have been doing all throughout my frugal journey. Anyhow, it’s another little thing that will ad up!
